Thomas W.D. Quené
It’s with a sad heart that I have to announce the death of both my parents. They passed away in the same hospital 5 days apart. My father was admitted in the last stage of intestinal cancer and was near death, my mother was found in her bathroom the next morning and was rushed to the same hospital where she was diagnosed with sepsis. She died 8 hours later. My father followed her 5 days later.
My father Thomas W.D. Quené was a pilot with East African Airways in the early 60’s till the company was liquidated in ‘77, almost 14 years later. My youngest brother (child no.4) was born in Nairobi.

My dear Irene. It is with such sadness to hear about the passing of both your parents. Our fathers flew together in the ’60s. We were neighbours and friends. Something I have cherished for many years. May you find peace during these troubled times and may their souls rest in eternal peace.
