My father Cliff was with Airways for most off his working life. My brother and I spent many weekends in the hangar with a container of paraffin and a brush cleaning some obscure part or other, it kept us busy and out of the way. My first visit to Britain was when he did the VC10 course. Dad died of cancer in 2003.
