I joined the Technical Office in 1969 as a Senior Technical Officer, with principal responsiblity for the construction of an Engine Overhaul facility at Entebbe Airport. Construction was completed in 1972, shortly before the coup de etat in which Idi Amin took over Uganda. The workshops and engine test house were never used for their intended purpose. We very much enjoyed living in Nairobi and travelled extensively in Kenya. EAA was a great airline to work for and I have fond memories of my colleagues.
