Flew Nairobi Zurich London, 1976 I think, on the vc10 as a 7 year old, got to sit in the pilots seat over Egypt. Most people got off at Zurich , the pilot then asked if any of the remaining passengers objected to a real take off. This then resulted in absolutely flooring it down the runway and as near to a vertical take off you could have in a passenger aircraft. Thanks EAA, brilliant memories, and a great website.
